FACTOR Representative

Job Overview:

Parent Engagement Academy will recruit parents by phone, in the parent’s and their familiy’s language. The Coordinator will supervise the logistics of the program starting from the orientation, the weekly training sessions and culminating in a graduation ceremony with diplomas given to parents who attended three or more sessions. This training is designed to help parents get involved in their children’s social, emotional and educational well-being and help them be successful in school.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • To maintain enthusiasm communicating the purpose of the program.
  • To have enough time to make phone calls to remind parents on a weekly basis.
  • To positively encourage parents to participate in the program.
  • To be persistent, without becoming rude when contacting parents.
  • All the information is confidential. To maintain strict confidentiality of all the information from the parents.
  • To maintain daily communication and detailed and updated communication with the coordinator.
  • To achieve the goal assigned (number of parents attending).
  • To attend the program orientation and evaluation meetings.

 

Qualifications:

  • To enjoy making phone calls and having brief conversations with the parents.
  • To have a landline or mobile.
  • To have enough time to make phone calls at different times of day to contact a greater number of parents.
  • To know how to read and write.
  • To have ease to speech.
  • To be a parent (Preferably).

Facilitator

Job Overview:

The Facilitator is the one who promotes and motivates learning through an active attitude of the parent and encourages their participation in the teaching-learning process. In this sense, the facilitator must take into account cultural diversity and different social realities, valuing differences and enriching the instruction from them. The attitude and motivation that the facilitator has with the parents is the hallmark of the program.

 

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • To participate and facilitate classes for one and a half hours during the seven weeks at the school that you were assigned.
  • To prepare your workshop every week and update your material.
  • To participate in the meetings of continuous training.
  • To call all the parents who are participating in your class a day before each session.
  • To reach the assigned goal of graduated parents.
  • To participate in the training meetings.

 

Qualifications:

  • Parent (Father or Mother preferably).
  • Working experience with adult groups.
  • Knowledge of the school system.
  • Knowledge of andragogic techniques.
  • Experience in technology management, have a laptop and a telephone.
  • Have a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • Ease of speech.
